Job Analysis

During the pre-employment phase we undertake the following tasks:

  • Meet with you to confirm your requirements, and fully explore the shape and scope of the pre-employment programme
  • Work with you to identify the criteria you require candidates to meet as predictors of success in the post, and so determine the appropriate competences for these positions
  • Recommend appropriate activities that will test candidates against your criteria
  • Work with you to develop any tailored activities you wish to incorporate.

Following review of the individual CV and of samples of previous training, the next stage in the process is an Assessment Day.
During the assessment day, the first activity you will be involved in is a verbal critical reasoning test. This ability test is a paper and pencil multiple-choice questionnaire which measures your ability to reason with verbal information. Following successful completion of the Ability Test, there will then be an Occupational Personality Questionnaire, a 30-minute interview which will focus (but not exclusively), on subject matter expertise, and communication skills, and then a 30 minute training session.
